Consulting

Our consulting engagements are custom designed to achieve maximum impact for the organization and its women.

While every engagement is unique, in general, our process will almost always feature a mix of the following activities:

Assessment. As a first step, we establish a baseline on the level of employee and management engagement in women’s leadership, reviewing any programs or resources already in place. To help set this baseline, we often use surveys, interviews, and other data gathering tools. This information allows us to assess needs and identify gaps between workforce reality and the leadership’s goals and objectives on such measures as inclusiveness, engagement, retention, and leadership development.

Planning. Next, we develop a detailed plan addressing the needs that were identified during the assessment — and then offer an approach scaled to the goals and timeframe your organization has set. This step-based plan lays out a clear, cohesive, and strategic path for women to succeed and thrive in your organization. It proposes specific actions to remedy gaps and provides a prioritized order for accomplishing the work using both internal and external resources. A business case for the plan is often prepared as well, and presented to the organization’s senior executives. This presentation and plan review is an opportunity for worthwhile discussion between our team and the client, and may uncover new opportunities as well as refinements.

Implementation. With a clear step-by-step plan in place, it is now time to engage the full range of Rodriguez & Associates’ skills to deliver the solution, which may include:

  • Coaching — one-on-one coaching of women that the organization has identified for leadership positions, current or future
  • Organizational training — assisting leaders in incorporating women’s perspectives and skills into the organization’s strategic processes
  • Learning modules — interactive seminars or training for both women and the organization, as well as in-depth looks at key topics in women’s leadership
  • Follow-up programs — ensuring traction and generating momentum for further improvement.

Evaluation. When progress is measurable, it not only helps enhance trust but also sets the right foundation for building future gains within the organization. At Rodriguez & Associates, we believe in building our programs on objective, quantitative measures that foster continuous improvement in women’s leadership.
